Getting started / onboarding

Home is the one place to start. Its "Set up your business" list shows what to do next, ticks each step off as it sees it done, and changes with your plan. A step that needs another one first shows as locked until then.

On Core it is four steps:

  1. Add your store — name it, say where you sell from, pick a look, choose how customers pay, and publish it. About five minutes. This also creates your first location, which Bookings, POS and stock counts need.
  • Where do you sell from: "A shop, stall or office" shows your address; "From home" shows customers only your postal district, never your street address.
  • How will customers pay: "Pay at the counter" (or "Pay when they collect" for a home seller), or PayNow QR — upload your PayNow QR picture and the name customers will see when they pay. A PayNow order waits in Orders until you check the transfer and approve it. Card payments (Stripe) can be added later in the storefront's Settings > Payments.
  • A salon, spa or clinic: nothing can be booked until someone on the team has a treatment ticked. Open Orders > Bookings > Team, add who does treatments, what each one does and their hours — Home lists it as "Set up your team".
  1. Add your inventory — add products one by one in Menu/Products, or use Bulk tools there: download the import template, fill it in and upload it. On Growth the Operations assistant can import a spreadsheet in any column layout for you.
  2. Link your social — connect WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger or Telegram from Messages > Channel connections so customers can message you and get their ordering link. Every plan has this step. WhatsApp has extras the others don't: templates, which let it send order updates and campaigns to anyone at any time.
  3. Start selling — share your store link: WhatsApp status, your Instagram bio, a table card. Your first order ticks this off.

On Growth the list also covers putting your QR code in front of customers, a loyalty programme and your first supplier bill. Growth also adds bookings and the walk-in queue, stamp cards and rewards, eBot settings, food cost, segments and campaigns, and the expert assistants — Core is the plan for taking orders.

After that, as you need them: Settings > Locations for opening hours and holiday closures, Settings > Team to invite staff. Several steps can be done for you by an expert assistant instead of by hand — Operations for the catalogue, Marketing for a loyalty programme — each as a card somebody confirms.

Faster: iBot inside your dashboard can walk you through this — or do it for you. Open Assistants and just ask.
