Packages: prepaid sessions, bundles and credit

Published and maintained by Adtro Media

A package is something a customer pays for now and uses over several visits.

Set up what you sell: Menu (or Services & Products) > Packages > Add a package. 1. What kind of package? —

  • Sessions: one service counted down each visit ("10 facials"). Offered to salons and service businesses.
  • Bundle: several items, each with its own count ("10 coffees + 5 kaya toast").
  • Credit: money to spend — each visit takes off what it cost ("pay $500, spend on any treatment").

Then name it, set the price (GST included) and how many months it can be used for. The editor shows what the items would cost bought one by one.

Sell one: POS > Sell package, or from the customer's profile. Sessions and bundles can be paid in full or with a deposit and paid off later; credit must be paid in full.

Customers > Packages shows every customer's package: running, still to pay, prepaid not yet used, and expiring in 30 days. Open one to record a visit, use credit, take a payment, cancel it, or print a statement. A salon can also use a package straight from an appointment.

Customers see what is left under My packages on their wallet page. Packages are sold in the shop and at the till — they cannot be bought online yet (vouchers can).

In the books (if you have FinBot): the money waits as Customer Packages & Deposits until it is used, and moves to sales as each visit happens. Sessions and bundles charge GST when paid; credit charges GST when spent. Anything unused at the use-by date goes to sales without GST.

Faster: iBot inside your dashboard can walk you through this — or do it for you. Open Assistants and just ask.
